Simone Bessac was born in El-Mahden, Algeria.
In 1927, she enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She also worked in the studio of André Lhote.
In 1929 she began her career as a painter in her Parisian studio rue Lagrange, across the river Seine from Notre-Dame cathedral.
She exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in 1936-1938, and at the Salon des Tuileries in 1939.
There is not much known of her work after the onset of World War Two.
