Peter Joss Born 1915 Joss was born in Estonia in 1915. He studied art in Berlin until the advent of Nazi Germany. He returned to Estonia and continued his art education and the Estonia Art Academy in Tallin. After immigrating to the United States he continued his studies at the Samuel Fletcher Memorial Academy with Adolf Fleischer, Leon Karp and Martin Jackson. Joss exhibited widely in the US, from Florida to Texas. He had a one-man show in Paris, France. He received several prizes in-group shows. Joss was affiliated with the Art Alliance in Philadelphia and the Hall Art Gallery in New York. He exhibited many works depicting modernist and Cubist interpretations of New York City. The date and location of his death is unknown.
