Borsi was born 15 February 1900, in Florence. He was a painter, draughtsman, ceramicist, lithographer, monotype artist.

Borsi became interested in painting from 1916 and participated in the Futurist movement while studying to be a goldsmith.

In 1920, he moved to Scandinavia where he lived for five years, working in interior design and studying ceramics.

His work was exhibited in Copenhagen. In 1925, he settled in Paris and contributed works to several Salons.

In 1948, he finally moved to Saint-Paul-de-Vence in southern France where he concentrated on ceramics as well as working as an enameller.

His work contains references to Etruscan art. He wrote: 'I advocate research into a new pictorial logic in which works tend towards the monumental, escaping from the painting and imposing themselves as an architecture of the world'.

He exhibited in several cities in Europe.
