Louis-André Margantin 1900-1965 Louis-André Margantin was a student at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs. His his work first appeared in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in 1924, where he continued to exhibit for many years. He also exhibited at the Salon des Surindépendants from 1933 to 1938. He was invited to send his works to the Train-Exposition of 1935. He took part in the important Exposition Universelle of 1937, in Paris In 1939 the Musée-École in Laval presented 70 of his paintings; and he exhibited in 1945 the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Paris. He participated in the illustration of several books.
