Jan Sigfrid Alfons Carlsson
1900-1985
Born in 1900, Jan Sigfrid Alfons Carlsson's creative work was primarily inspired by the atmosphere and politics of Post-World War 2 Europe of the 1920s.
He was a Swedish visual artist who pursued some studies abroad, but is primarily considered to be self-taught. His work features motifs such as streets and waterways, particularly from the areas around Capri in Italy and the Swedish lake Vättern.
He traveled extensively throughout Europe.
In the 1950's he lived and worked in Montmartre, in Paris the traditional center School of Paris artists.
