Henri Burkhard

1892-1956

Burkhard was born in New York, Burkhard studied at Art Students League, then Académie Julian, Acadêmie Colarissi, and Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris.

Returning to New York, he exhibited frequently at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1926-36; the Corcoran Gallery, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in the mid-1930s.

He exhibited at the Montrose Gallery, a one man show, in New York City in 1922-1923.
