Florence Walton Pomeroy 1889-1981 Florence Walton Pomeroy was born in East Orange, New Jersey in 1889. She studied under George Bellows, J. Johansen, Homer Boss, Anne Goldthwaite, among others. She was a member of the National Association of Women Artists, the New York Society of Craftsmen and the Guild of Book Workers. She exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1942 and 1944, with the Society of Independent Artists from 1917-1924, at the Salons of America, the National Academy of Women Artists annually, and at the Bonestell Gallery, where in 1947 there was a solo exhibition of her work. |
