Edouard Febvre painted primarily in Paris and its suburbs, working in
watercolors, paint, and pastels to represent scenes with figures, landscapes,
and urban landscapes. His favorite views were taken from the picturesque
Montmartre. He also painted animated compositions with clowns in the
circus, lovers on the dance floor, or figures seeking rare finds at
the scrap-iron fair. The date of Febvre’s death is unknown.
Febvre is listed in the Benezit Dictionary of Artists.
He has extensive auction records dating back to 1925 in Paris.
