Born 1935

Forsloff raised in Portland, Oregon.

Educated at Portland Art Museum and Seattle Academy of Fine Arts (formerly Burnley School of Art). Specialized art courses in New Orleans through various academy and instructional venues.

More than 30 years of graphic art experience for department stores and commercial groups, both as freelance and employed artist, in Portland, Oregon, Honolulu, Hawaii and Seattle, Washington including Lipman Wolfe, Meier and Frank, Boeing Aircraft Company, the Seattle Times, and the Honolulu Advertiser.

Gallery owner, manager and participating artist, Bellevue Art Gallery in Seattle, Forsloff Gallery in Lafayette, various art galleries in French Quarter of New Orleans and private collections around the world, the International Market Place in Honolulu, and Windjammer Cruises. Specializations in acrylic, oil and pastels. Features: caricatures, portraits, clown paintings, jazz paintings, and Louisiana life.

Graphic Arts Instructor for Honolulu Community College. Private art lessons for many years.

Featured on the front cover of Leisure Arts, magazine section of the Daily Advertiser, Lafayette, Louisiana, February 1, 1991 and the Society Page of Sunday, May 19, 1991 for series of portraits entitled “Women of Acadiana.” Featured in other newspaper and magazine articles in Florida, Louisiana and Oregon.
