Charley (Charles Achille) Garry

1891-1973

Garry was born in 1891 in Paris and died in the same city in 1973.

He was a pupil of Gabriel Ferrier, Jules Adler and Francois Flameng.

He debuted in 1912 at the Parisian Salon des Artistes; also exhibited at the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts and Salon Independants.

In 1925 he painted plafonds of the famous Brasserie Lipp (151, Boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris) with African scenes.

He was also a known poster designer.
