Billy King

Born 1948

Billy King is a Seattle and Mexico based artist known for his expressive color styles.

Since 1970 Billy King has expanded the definition of independent artist. Billy King is in collections all across North America including Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles, Smthsonian Institute in Washington DC, and Curator PR Seattle.

The slide show is of Pop Up galleries at Western and Lenora in 2011 and at 1st and Union in 2004.

The studio pictured is the last Seattle studio for Billy King at the Freedman Building 1st and University 2004-2015.

The Smithsonian holds one work of his, a self portrait pastel dated 1972.
