Alexander Kreisel

1901-1952

Kreisel was born in Russia, later lived in Queens, New York.

He was a painter, graphic designer, sculptor, and print maker.

He studied at the Grand Central Art School in New York, known as ASL.

He exhibited at Salons of America in 1931, Lincoln HS in Brooklyn in 1937, and Montross Gallery in 1939.

He was a member of the United American Artists in Woodstock. He was a teacher at Kew Gardens Art Center, and the Hyde Park School in Brooklyn.

The Woodstock Art Association lists his deatrh in 1955.
