Jean Claude Forquin was born in Nancy in 1936. 

He entered the National School of Fine Arts in the Nancy from 1952 until 1954. 

He joined Paris and the workshops of the Grande Chaumière until 1956. 

He exhibited in Nancy in June 1954 and in Liège with the painters of the School of Paris and the Group l'Echelle. 

Until his accidental death in 1963, he participated in many salons in Nancy and in Paris.

His works can be found at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and the Musée de Lyon.
